The 2026 edition of the PLAS@PAR Picture Contest is now open!

Through this contest, the federation celebrates the aesthetics, creativity, and visual wonder inspired by plasma research.

The goal is to create a gallery of inspiring pictures that invites people to discover this fourth state of matter from a different perspective.

Could your photo be the one that makes this year’s edition unforgettable?

Prize

The best photograph will be selected by vote, and the winner will receive an E-Paper tablet: a digital device with a paper-like display that is easy to read in direct sunlight and highly energy-efficient, making it ideal for reading, annotating, or working without eye strain.

How to participate?

There is no specific theme: all approaches are welcome, as long as they relate to plasma in its scientific, experimental, natural, or artistic forms.

Please create a ZIP file including two documents:

1. Your picture un jpg. format
2. A document when the following information:

• Your name
• E-mail address
• Laboratory / Affiliation
• Picture title
• Short description (2–3 lines)
• Position / Role
• Permission for publication and use

Your photographs will be featured on our website, in our communications, and at our events. They will also be used as part of our science outreach activities, helping to showcase plasma in a clear, engaging, and captivating way.
